  1. Hello there :) Where to start.. Im having some problems with my PC. One random day my computer froze, i couldnt get task manager up or nothing so i did a hard shutdown. Left it for the night and woke up the next morning as usual turning on my pc. It went through all the stuff at the start and began to load windows, but after the windows screen finished loading i had nothing but a black screen. I could still use my mouse but i couldnt do anything. I search on the internet of my problem and tried many many things to try and fix it but nothing. Heres some of the things ive tried: I opened to pc up and gave it a 'magic blow' and removed the hard drive then putting it back in. This is the only thing thats working at the moment, could be a hard drive issue? Booted in Safe mode and its getting stuck on c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ClassPNP.SYS for a while then finally boots in safe mode. Read somewhere about trying to rename ClassPNP.SYS to ClassPNP.old but access was denied. Also tried Windows repair tool and nothing was wrong, also tried to system restore to a time before this was happening and nothing. I dont have my Windows CD anymore to repair via that. I ran virus and malware checks and found a few things but now they are removed still getting same error. Another problem is that alot of my icons were removed on my desktop for some weird reason. When i click on Start then All Programs, there are no programs listed apart from an OpenOffice folder (??). When i click into My Computer and open C:\Program Files there is nothing there anymore apart from Norton. It must have other stuff on it because i only have 62GB remaining on the drive from a max of 288GB. I know abit about computers but this is just way out of my leagueand knowledge, i really hope someone knows an answer to this. Its driving me crazy!! Im guessing its something to do with my hard drive but im not entirely sure, i dont know if there is some sort of software i can run checks. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read my thread, tried to make it short as possible:confused: Peace
