    Yes --when the Scanner is removed it shuts down as normal

    Thanks for the info---but there appears to be nothing relating to the scanner there It is currently set to selective start up.

    I have an XP Home edition on my Medion Computer. I recently installed a Cannon 4400F Scanner and now the Computer will not shut down automaticly---it will log off etc--but I have to switch off at the mains. I have reinstalled the Scanner several times but with no success That apart everything is working fine. Can anyone advise ?
