  5. Hi KenB, SpeedTest was done with channel 8 as i found out that it gave me the best result. test was done a few times result give are more or less the same. Following are the result. cordless phone off and laptop next to the wireless router. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1315551274.png cordless phone on and laptop next to the wireless router. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1315553712.png talking on the cordless phone and laptop next to the wireless router. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1315554860.png using direct wired connection to the router. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1315561070.png
  6. Hi KenB, really appreciate you help very much. Below are the tests done before and after changing the channel. Channel remains as Auto. It seems that auto still gives me the best d/l speed. i have also tried cap locks the password but to no avail. Any other recommendation? http://www.speedtest.net/result/1314760687.png http://www.speedtest.net/result/1314776644.png Channel 2 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1314793131.png Channel 7 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1314773496.png Channel 9 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1314780842.png
  7. Hi KenB, Thanks for your reply. I have tried d/l & u/l test near my router, however the outcomes are almost the same. only reached 19mbps for d/l thru speedtest.net. I will try the method of changing the channel. change the channel only apply to my router setting right? do i need to change any setting on my wireless adapter?
  8. Hi All, Need your advise with my wireless connection. I have done a search and found out there are alot of problem with the Atheros AR9285. However, wasn't able to solve my problem with the all solution given. I have just subscribe to Fibre Optic Broadband 100 mbps service and was give the HUAWEI HG256 Wireless Home gateway. Basically, there isn't any problem connecting directly using wired connection. D/L speed ard 90-99 mbps U/L speed ard 30-35 mpbs (tested using speedtest.net). However, I encounter problem connecting wirelessly using through my laptop. While connect using wireless connection, the wireless connection speed is only 65 mbps. D/L & U/L speed drop dramatically. Have done a search and my wireless adapter (Atheros AR9285 802.11B/G/N Wifi Adapter) can support up to 150 mpbs. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1312938801.png I do not know if i need to change any settings in other to get the ideal speed for D/L & U/L speed. Below are the specs of my laptop. http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee459/adzforce/Untitled3.jpg My Router Settings http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee459/adzforce/Untitled2.jpg My Wireless Connection Details. http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee459/adzforce/Untitled-1.jpg My Wireless Adapter Details.
