I formatted my laptop and reinstalled Windows XP.
The laptop is a Dell Precision M20. Before I reinstalled Windows, I downloaded all of the Drivers from the Support-site from Dell.
I also installed SP2 and SP3 of Windows XP.
Now the computer works but it has some issues.
It runs slower then before, but CPU seems never extreme high.
I already set the 'paging file size' to 'system managed size'.
My experience is that the computer runs slow when I'm connected to my office network. When I try to access files on the server it randomly fails.
Sometimes I'm connected to the server and I can easily open all maps en files, but then while I'm busy the computer suddenly says I'm unable to read the files on the server as if I'm disconnected.
Sometimes I even don't get connected with the server at all, while none of changes to the system took place.http://www.pchelpforum.com/newthread...ewthread&f=296
When the LAN-cable is plugged in, the notebook obviously gets even more slower.
I also get system errors :'Windows System Error: there's an IP-conflict found with another system on the network' (not the exact words, because I translate out of Dutch)
And then there's also the BSOD (see image), which tells me that there is a driver problem. Maybe I installed a wrong driver?
Can anyone help me, or tell me what to do to figure out what's the problem?
