Currently I am working on the project of the subject design and development. In which my teacher assigns me to make the design for the word press themes. I am in a great problem right now. Because I don't know which tool and what steps are involved in designing of WordPress Themes. So anyone like to help me out on this matter.

I have a grip on the language like Html, Xhtml and JavaScript. Now I am interested to learn the open source platform, like Joomla, CSS and WordPress. suggest me the best tutorial to learn this open source platform in which you can easily develop and design the website Templates and Joomla Templates.
