Hello, thanx so much for answering. Yes I have an Advent desktop PC. The sound comes from built in speakers on the monitor. I have a realtek webcam and audio system which says the speakers are working ok. I have checked that are not muted so I can't think of anything else I can do. I'm no expert so now rely on other peoples advice.. Sorry for the delay I sent the answer to myself. I know nothing about sound cards, but I have updated the drivers, looked to see what kind of sound card I have but couldn't find anything. Thanks Hinney60

My sound has gone. I've done everything I know but nothing, I've updated drivers unplugged, replugged, done sound tests now I'm stuck, any suggestions?
