  1. Hey chaps, Bought a Corsair Force 3 SSD. Got 7.4 on windows experience index- on the reviews on ebuyer, most people reported 7.8/7.9. Furthermore, I downloaded and used passmark disc test. I got a composite result of 1456, where according to the site, the average for this drive is 2441! I think the main issue is that on the review on ebuyer- people were reporting 'windows 7 loads so fast, the four blobs on the loading screen never even meet'. This is nowhere near what happens with me! Any help would be much appreciated. If its important- I do only have SATA2- drive supports SATA 3. I also used RAID instead of AHCI/IDE.
  2. I will give this a shot. Thanks very much!
  3. Repeatedly now the comp has just switched off suddenly, and when I go to reboot, am greeted with CMOS checksum error. I need to reload the correct settings before itll work again. This has happened about five times now. I thought it could be a battery issue, but the comp has kept the correct time each time this has happened. Could it still be battery related?
  4. Guys, I fixed it already! Just in case anyone else has a similar problem who comes across this thread: I think my theory above was correct. The CMOS wiped itself for some reason, and so the raid option on the bios defaulted back to 'IDE' in the onboard devices section instead of 'raid'. I changed this and hey presto- recognized my two drives as one again. Thanks anyway chaps! Sure you would have told me to do just this if Id waited any longer!
  5. Forgot to mention- have an MSI 770-C45. In BIOS my two hard drives are listed separately in the 'boot sequence' section. I have NO memory of what it normally said- but since theyre meant to be raided- I assume it would typically treat them as a single drive in the bios?
  6. Hey guys, could really do with some help! I THINK I am having a mb/hard drive issue. But Im not sure. Would welcome your 2 cents: My comp just stopped working (went to blank screen) while I was browsing. Switched it off and on again, said 'CMOS error' or something like that. I got into BIOS and reloaded default options. From that point when restarting, it loads the mb splash screen then there is just a blank screen with a flashing underscore in the top left. So I can get into the BIOS but thats it. I disconnected the hard drives, turned it on- this time it says 'no boot media' which makes me think that the problem lies in the hard drive. I have two on raid zero- maybe the comp no longer recognises that they are raided together. Does this sound plausible? If so, how do I go about telling the comp my two sata drives are raided? I presume I did it first time round during the windows 7 install. How do I do it in bios!? Thanks SO much in advance guys!
