Fixed The Hot fix seems to have done the trick. Let it go into sleep mode twice and the hdd is visible when waking the computer back up. Thankyou for your help. Very much appreciated.

Hi there. It's an internal 2TB Western Digital SATA drive

Whenever my PC goes into sleep mode and then wake it back up again the scondary hdd disappears as in when look under computer it's not there and typing d:\ into the navigation bar doesn't find it either. It always re-appears and works fine after a re-boot so don't think that there is a problem with the drive. I have temporarily resolved this problem by disabling sleep mode but would like to re-enable for power saving purposes. It's a Dell Inspiron running windows 7 64 bit. Please does anyone have any suggestions how to resolve this problem?
