Thanks for your help, in the end I have decided this may be the excuse I was waiting for to upgrade to Windows 7 and format de hard drive clean while I am at it.

I have Media Player Classic - Home Cinema installed in my computer, on 32-bit Vista. Whenever I try to run it, it inmediately crashes, before any window appears. This happens both when i try to play any file and when I open the program directly. I have tried uninstallig and reinstalling, and also I have installed a few other versions of the program dowloaded from sourceforge. All crash in the same way.
