  1. Thanks for the reply Maynardvdm. I have already tried this but I had no luck.
  2. I recently had a computer of mine running on Windows XP looked at by a friend as it was running slow. Since having it back the USB ports dont work or power up any of my devices, but my device manager is telling me everything is ok. I cannot solve the problem using any of the troubleshoots and I can only assume that part of the USB port drivers have accidentaly been deleted or disturbed in some way? My question is do USB port drivers come as part of Windows XP? And will re-installing Windows XP solve the problem? Thanx, James.
  3. Thanx for the reply KenB and thanxs for the heads up. I have had the problem for a while now. I can still find the drivers for the usb ports, but I am asuming some software from the drivers have been deleted since they havent been working since I had a friend look at the computer because it was running slow. In my Hardware properties it is telling me everything is ok and all the troubleshoots are unsucessfull. The computer I currently use is on Vista but the computer I am having trouble with is on XP. Thanx again for the reply KenB.
  4. MY USB PORT DRIVER HAS BEEN UNINSTALLED AND I CANNOT GO ONLINE TO RE-INSTALL IT DUE TO THE PROBLEM WITH MY DRIVER. IF I RE-INSTALL WINDOWS XP WILL THIS SOLVE MY PROBLEM? ARE USB PORT DRIVERS PART OF THE WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM? THANX.
