I am currently running Windows Vista Business on my laptop which has, an Intel Core Duo T7500 @ 2.20 GHz, 4Gb Ram, 160Gb Hard drive and a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT.
This problem occurs occasionally, when the laptop seems to have been on for a long time, roughly around 8 hours or maybe slightly less. What seems to happen is that the laptop freezes up and programs suddenly stop working and come up with error messages ( i would include the list of programs but they change constantly, some times they are windows based and other times they are based around other software). and then a blue screen will appear and have an error message 'Memory_Management'.I have done the windows memory diagnostics tool and found no problems with the RAM in the computer. I also tried uninstalling norton antivirus as windows mentioned that it maybe that antivirus software causing the problem. However i am now using the Mcafee antivirus that came with the laptop and i the error still occurs. The error does not occur often, however it is just annoying that i sometimes cannot use my laptop for prolonged periods of time, and sometimes have to turn it off to let it rest. I am unsure as to if this is a hardware or a software problem and was wondering if you could possibly help me identify the source of the problem.
