  1. update, graphics card is fine.... in theory, the game should run no problem...
  2. yes it's the same pc, it's a 'hp pavillion 061' i've changed the harddrive, and swapped the two 256m ram sticks with two 512m sticks, but not added anything else.... java runs on startup, and i try to end the process through task manager, but it just comes straight back everytime...
  3. thanks for the advice again but no change...
  4. i have more than enough in all categories, but i cant find any details on the graphics card.... it's a built in graphics card but it just says "unavailable" when i try to look at the specs....even so, im sure it would be good enough to run the game?...
  5. more of an annoyance than anything, but as the title states, java.exe is running at anywhere between 70-99%... is this normal? does it need to be running at these levels? and is there anything i can do to calm it down?
  6. I tried it but no change....thanks anyways....any other ideas?
  7. Hi everyone...probably/hopefully just a simple one... i've got xp with sp3, and i found 'pro rugby manager 2' in a charity shop...happy days...... however, i've managed to install the game without any issue, then when i go to play it, i just get an error message straight away.... "setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"........ the game is from 2005 and installed and played fine on the missus' laptop running vista. i've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but the same problem happens again.... this has me rather stumped to say the least... so any help or suggestions would be hugely appreciated....Thnx
  8. finished the scan but didnt find anything.... here's the log anyways... 10. morning all.... thanks for the advice again, i have ran ccleaner, it deleted about 2mb of old crap, but apparently hasnt changed anything....i still get the same outcome when trying to install the drivers....i cant begin to tell u how frustrating this issue is becoming.....and im running out of coffee!!!
  11. bummer!...thanks for the advice anyway
  12. hi nev, yes thats the full name of the file in question... the cd was just an old CD my brother had lying around that i believe he had from a pc from long ago... probably not the best idea in the 1st place but it was a last resort before binning the HD because it was badly virus ridden..
  13. it starts installing, but as it copies the files to system32, it stops as it get to 'ksproxy.ax' everytime....
  14. thanks again... i downloaded and installed the drivers, but just got the same results from device manager....
  15. i have set it to ignore in 'my computer - properties' but it still pops up everytime.....
