  1. Read online a bit more, about 2 hours worth heh... I was running a 300 watt factory PSU.. I upgraded to a 520 here a few min ago *ran to best buy* and connected both PCIE pins, working like a dream now lol.. Box is fat and happy with a new Gcard and a new power supply.. TY for all the help, sorry for being so noobish
  2. Based off of what the error says, its not registering that the card is even in the computer.. Does it needed to be connected any other way that directly into the PCIE spot?.. Any extra cords connectors etc? When i turn the computer on, the fan spins in the card, so i know it has power.
  3. Done that as well, tells me it needs to reboot to finilize the changes, when it reboots, i got the same issue, wont read the 460.
  4. yes I do have an intergrated card in it that is how I have it hooked up at the moment so that I can actually see the screen I got rid of the old drivers so everything's larger than it should be and the colors are distorted, how would I go about removing it in the bios. and will I still be able to get it back up if I cannot get the new graphics card to work? Sorry for poor puncuation, on my cell at work.
  5. The disc im using came with the box, i also got online from the EVGA site and tried to use those drivers, got the same result. And yes, removed the drivers for my integrated card, and my Geforce G100 i had in there
  6. Just got a GTX 460, and for the life of me cant seem to get it working. When i try to install the drivers it pops up telling me "" the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware "" Have reset the card within the machine a few times, and uninstalled any old drivers i can think of, still dont seem to want to work for me.. I run a * Gateway DX4860, with Windows 7 64bit * Wonder if any1 has any ideas for me, if you need any more info lemme know, lil noobish inside a computer tho, so bare with me.
