thanks, I tried it out but I don't think it's for a beginner like me! the results combine duplicates + original files instead of simply duplicates so I thought better of deleting anything to be on the safe side :)

I checked out the site and read up on it but I'm a little apprehensive of beta versions as it does say "Beta or prerelease software is not intended for inexperienced users, as the software may contain bugs or may potentially damage your system. I already got Adobe but that link doesn't update it! I think there's been a glitch for some time with the site :)

so am I ok just having the Adobe flash installed without another Macromedia installation too?

I did that already but there doesn't appear to be any other coloured tab options for my version, the themes mainly cover the browser colours and not the tabs

Hi Seth, I tried it but it doesn't work on my firefox version, it says from 3 onwards and mine is 2.0.0.11, in fact I didn't know there was such a version as mine says it's the latest! :)

I've upgraded Firefox to version 2.0.0.11 and can't use a previous add on called Colourful tabs, does anyone know of another add on to replace it please as it's really dull without a splash of colour? :)

thanks again for your reply! I decided to uninstall the programmes and re scanned with Secunia, everything seems ok but in the prog list I have Adobe flash, is that the same as Macromedia flash? I haven't reinstalled Macromedia as I wondered if I needed to or if Adobe was enough. I'm going to try and reinstall Firefox and hopefully it will work after doing a clean uninstall :)
