  1. Hi Ken Yup, think it must have been a faulty card, i got a geForce GT430 instead and the computer started normally after i fitted the new card and loaded in the drivers no problem and i dont get the computer crashes i got when using FSX on the on board graphics :D Thanks for all your input
  2. I was coming to the conclusion that it might be faulty, shouldnt be this difficult to intall. I'v just took it back and ordered a better card. Thanks for your time Ken :)
  3. Hi, Just gave that a try, dont get any signal from the original on board video output all the time the new card is fitted. I guess cos the signal is now diverted to the new card as it regognises there is a card in the pci 16 slot. Any more thought?
  4. Hi Ken Thanks for the reply, it wasnt my card but i did find it and the correct drivers on the dedicated msi website. I downloaded the driver but just as with the Driver and utilty CD i got with the card it wont let me install the drivers until i fit the card it would seem. When i go in to the setup it starts guiding me through the intallation then says i cannot find the suitable hardware and exits me from the intall. How can i get round this, cant install the driver cos the cards not fitted, cant fit the card cos i cant start windows!? Help if you can! Many thanks
  5. I bought an NVIDIA N210 D512D2H graphics card to upgrade as my computer had trouble running Flight Sim X. Once i fit the card the computer it will not boot windows. (i tried un installing the old chipset drivers first as well and is no different) I restart after fitting and the computer gives the usual entry black screen with some loading information and then another screen i have never seen before with a screen full of text and at the end "verifying pool data" and then the monitor switches off and the cycle repeats itself for as long as many times as i leave without loading windows. I sought advice from the shop i bought the card from and he said to change windows to a higher resolution before i fit the card but this made no difference either. I have also tried to enter safe mode to try and install the drivers but pressing F8 to enter the menu will not work when this card is fitted. If i take the Nvidia card out and connect up as before everything goes back to normal. I have an ADVENT SE2102 pc i bought 1 year ago with windows 7, 64 bit os, pentium E5400 2.7 ghz dual core processor 3.0 GB RAM, intel R GMA 3100 graphics card chip G33/G31 chipset family 256mb total avail graph memory. It uses a foxconn G31MX 46GMX series mother board that has a X 16 expansion slot. Anyone with any ideas? Grateful for any help Thanx
