  1. ive got the processor out but the isnt any info on it apart from 2v825037a2602. plus when i copied and pasted the RAM info i missed out a 1, it was 16GB. i get the fact that my options are limited but the offer for 16GB was amazing, ill probably make money by selling it. i had already updated my computer to 64 bit before it all went wrong.
  2. but can you plz hint a mother board that is the same physical size as this; http://www.dabs.com/products/gigabyte-s775-intel-g41-ddr3-matx-7SDN.html?refs=405070000&src=3 which can hold the 775 processor and 1600mhz 16GB RAM? - This is the RAM i got; 6GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz DIMM with Heatspreaders 240-Pin RAM Desktop Memory 9-9-9-24 XMP ready
  3. my OS is 64bit and i found a really good deal on 16gb ddr3 which was 2 x 8gb. also if it says max supported is 4GB is that per slot so actually 2 x 4GB or would it have to be 2x 2GB?
  4. would it just not work if the RAM was 2 x 8gb? or would it kill the motherboard again?
  5. So ive don e sum browsing, and i think this will work. So ive done sum browsing, and i think this will work. So yeh what do think?: http://www.dabs.com/products/gigabyte-s775-intel-g41-ddr3-atx-7N8D.html?refs=405070000&src=2 Thanks again! :D:D
  6. Thankyou well, i also took it to a friend who works on $1000000 flight sims, and he checked sum things and said it was the mother board, i will see how the card has affected it, and check if it will do it again to a new board. Thankyou for the advice on the Processor btw, i asked around and no-one knew how to do it without output. Thanks for the Advice! Oh and i checked the link it is, thanks! U guys are sooo useful i will use this forum lots in the future!
  7. I put in a new graphics card, and it didnt work the next time i turned it on, the was no output. I took it to a pc shop, they said it was a faulty motherboard and i need a new one. My MB was quite old, 3-4 years and it was a Foxconn g31mx 46gmx series. i have a Radeon HD 6850 graphics card which is brand new ( apart from when it killed my MB) i have a 650W psu for the card and it was fitted before i tried the Graphics card. So basically i really need some advice on what motherboard i should purchase, i want a decent one that means i dont have to change processor or Graphics card, for not too much £. Around 50-90 pounds. Plz help Also i dont know what my processor is, how do i find out since i have no working computer? all the other Q+A's require a working pc Thanks
