  3. Hi, i've just upgraded from 63mb to 191mb ram and everything was running fantastic, but all of a sudden since yesterday, my system ha started running real slow again, and when i check the comp tells me only 17% of my ram is avail at times. Only thing that i installed just before this happened was bt yahoo messenger and then msn messenger then i got rid of bt yahoo. Any help greatly appreciated. Steve
  4. But I'm right in thinking that i wolud not lose any data from my pc if I pulled out my existing RAM and replaced it with new RAM?
  5. Hi my pc has only got 64mb of ram, so i'm looking to upgrade. I've scanned my PC and it can only take 512mb of ram. I've read how to add extra ram, but could i just pull out my 64mb and put in 512mb? Also if i do this does it make any difference if I put in one 512mb ram card or two 256mb ram cards as I know I've got three slots?
  6. Try this Click on 'start' Click on 'settings' Click on 'control pannel' Double click on 'Display' Click on the 'settings' tab Look at the 'screen area' and try seting it to 1024 by 768. Hope that works
  7. I'm running Win ME on my PC and for some reason whenever I load up a web page IE set's the encoding to Western European (ISO). This turns all web pages to text format only and so I need to manually change each page to Western European (Windows). Does anyone know how to set IE to always load up pages with the encoding set at Western European (windows)? Thanks
