  1. I have been trying to delete a WMV movie file but I am unable to do so because it comes up with Error Code 0x80070570. My OS is Windows 7. How can I delete this file please?
  2. Many thanks KenB ... that did the trick! And your guess was right it is an A.cer machine. Thank you!
  3. I have the following message come up each time-I turn on my computer or reboot: "The program can't start because sysenv.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." What does all this mean please and how do I fix it?
  4. I am sorry if this is the wrong forum for this subject, but couldn't find a better one! I would just like to know how to join my MPEG files from my video camera into one file so they all run together when I play back on my PC. Googled it but couldn't find the right answer. Thank you in anticipation for any help
  5. Thank you KenB and etavares ... Revo Uninstaller did the trick!
  6. Hi. Whilst uninstalling an unrelated programme (done successfully) I notice on my list of programmes in Windows 7 several "games" by Oberon Media. I don't know how they got there but fear they may be some kind of virus even though my Norton hasn't picked them up. Whether they are or not I find I cannot uninstall them. If I try in the normal manner a small window comes up to say 'Installation Log not found'. How can I get rid of these programmes please?
  7. That seems to have resolved the problem ... thank you Randy.
  8. Hey Randy, It would appear that my cookies are being deleted on exit as are my saved passwords etc. It has only happened since I installed several Windows updates. I am using IE but I am unsure of what settings I should have in order to save passwords etc. I changed to Windows 7 from XP quite some time ago so my profile needs to be updated. Thanks in anticipation.
  9. I have just installed a load of Windows updates. Since then my computer doesn't remember login details and passwords of sites I frequently use. I have to re-enter these details each time I switch my computer back on even though I have ticked the 'remember' boxes. I am running Windows 7. Was there one particular update that has done this or what? Any help would be appreciated.
  10. I downloaded combofix but I don't know where its gone, so I am stuck!
  11. Can I restore my windows 7 to an earlier time/date like I was able to with XP? Even if I uninstalled the torrent, that doesn't answer what has gone wrong with my download folder ... I admit I did fiddle with it but even if a download is safe it should appear somewhere!
  12. I am not really sure where to post this. I am running windows 7 and have a problem when I click on the Libraries icon. Under Favourites I have a Download folder. I am not sure what I have done here but the download folder now remains empty. I have downloaded a couple of movies from a torrent site, they have seeded but I can no longer see where they have downloaded to! Beforehand I was able to pick them up on the download folder but now all I get is "folder is empty". What has happened please?
  13. Reinstalled without any problem ... interesting that windows 7 OS was there still (presumably in a compartment in case of reformatting). Programmes re-installed and all up and running. Many thanks for your help. Donation made. Mikey
  14. Thank you for that Starbuck. I am about to reformat the disc. I will get back to you if I have any further problems once I have reinstalled the OS etc and will make a donation.
  15. Hi Thank you for your help. I will take your advice and reform the hard drive. But a couple of questions first please. 1. Will any external hard drives or flash drives that have been plugged into the infected computer also be infected? 2. When I reinstall the OS, Office 2010 or norton will they not allow me to reinstall in the belief that I am using them for a second time?
