  1. RandyL, KenB and Plastic Nev You've all been a tremendous help. The laptop is finally reset to factory setings and is juts like it was when it was new (for now lol!) Feel like I have even learnt a little along the way so thanks for all your guidance and assistance.
  2. Oxc000000f Boot Error Hi, Thanks for that - had read it wrong ! Have now run the test and hard drive passed so thats not the problem I am afraid. Not sure what other options I should follow now?
  3. Oxc000000f Boot Error Hi Randy, I folowed the instructions from the article. After presing F11 on start up , I get a message saying Boot MGR is missing, press CTRL, ALT DELETE to restart. From there, I end up at th same Boot Error message screen as originally posted here. Thanks for your help. Can you suggest anything else to resolve the problem?
  4. Hoping someone is able to assist. I have a HP G56 laptop running on Windows 7 Home Premium. I am not particularly computer literate and having experienced several 'slow running' problems and error messages in programs and explorer advising 'Not Responding', I have now purchased a new laptop. I want to restore the original laptop to factory settings and although I have a set of three HP Recovery Discs that came with the machine, I receive the following error message: Oxc000000f The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible I am not worried about losing any data etc.....I just want to rest this dissapointing laptop to its 'as new' state. What do I need to do ? Thank you in anticipation of your help !
