  1. Hi John, This is a bit outfield. But could you physically swap the drives so that D is C and alter the BIOS accordingly? I don't know how to read your system details, like I used to be able to, so I don't know if you're using SETA drives, although I suspect you are. You can then use your Windows disk to treat D: as a slave disk without losing your existing data. Did you say how you were using the RAID, ie what level, as my answer may conflict with that unless you can reconfigure the controlling application. I've been out of combat for a while, so listen to the veterens first, before me. Good luck.
  2. This is clearly a frustrating problem. BTW your English is excellent and you should not apologise. Bear with me, but what are the differences between your friend's set up and your computer?
  3. Try the cd on a friend's computer. But warn your friend first :o There may also have been an option on whether your drive plays CDs or DVDs. I'll research that on the result of whether your cd works on another computer. What would help is the character of your DVD player by giving us the driver through Start > Run > devmgmt.msc and clicking on the + in DVD/CD Roms. Pease let us know what it is. Edit: To be fair, Asus offer reasonable support, contact them through: http://support.asus.com/ServiceHome.aspx?SLanguage=en
  4. For a start, I-Play offer this FAQ to get rid of the searcch bar: [h=1]Hiding the GamesBar[/h] Published 04/12/2011 03:45 PM | Updated 02/06/2012 01:27 PM How do I hide the GamesBarâ„¢? To hide the GamesBarâ„¢, please follow the steps below for your browser version: For Internet Explorer: 1. Click on the Internet Explorer View menu 2. Select Toolbars 3. Select the GamesBarâ„¢ Toolbar For Firefox: 1. Start Firefox 2. Go to "Tools" in the menu bar and select "Add-ons" 3. Select "Oberon GamesBar" from the list 4. Click on "Disable" button Secondly, with FireFox you can go to Tools > Options and change the Home Page if that's what you mean by search engine. Thirdly, and probably best, just use Windows' System Restore. There may be a quicker way but Start> Help and Support > and choose System Restore in the list under 'Pick a Task' then 'Restore my system to an earlier time' should do it. That's for XP. I'm sure if it's not the same for Windows 7 someone will be able to help you get to system restore.
  5. Reading the DxDiag I get the impression that your system might be using onboard graphics which is only 286MB. I would check that your setup has the onboard vga turned off.
  6. Hello! I've been working with PCs since 1989. I ran a computer repair and maintenance business for seven years. I have two IT degrees, the Masters in eCommerce. I've worked on helpdesks and I've lectured on networking in college of FE. But I'm long-term unemployed and it suddenly occurred to me that I could help others without incurring bus-fares. So here I am, ready to help.
