hi, the laptop is an ERGO T12EG,i chanked the whole fan as it was real easy to get to,didnt change the heatsink though, and yes that thread can be closed KenB, thanks

hi,my laptop recently started cutting out with no warning,tuned out it was the fan not spinning so obviously the processor getting too warm was the reason for the cutting out,however i replaced the fan with a new one and i still have the same problem,both fans can be spun easily manually and i cant find any settings in the bios to do with the fan so i'm a bit stuck now,any ideas anyone? thanks in advance

hi everyone,i have a hd from another pc i had (untill the psu fried my motherboard),the hd is in tact and i can get at all the files but when i try unrar the files from the recovery partition with winrar it fails to unrar anything,it doesnt ask for a password so i presume their is some other kind of security halting my progress,can you suggest anything to solve my problem?.thanks
