The GT 520 has higher Core Clock and Shader Clock. But the GT 430 has higher Memory Bandwidth and Texture Fill Rate. O_o
2. Hey Ken, one quick question. Can my slot support PCI-Express 2.1 (x16) graphics cards?
3. :D I'm going to buy the graphics card and a new Power Supply Unit this weekend then. You're awesome Ken. Thank you!
4. Thank you very much Ken! Are you sure its a PCI-E 2.0 16x ? :D Hopefully it will fit inside
5. Hey KenB, here's a picture of my mother board I'm not sure if its PCIe 2.0 x16.
6. Yes as I've mentioned at the bottom of my question, I will indeed have to upgrade my PSU. However I still don't know whether the new graphics card is compatible with my pc.
7. Hi KenB, sorry, unfortunately that's not my machine. As you can see from the specs I have provided, I have an Intel i3. Not an Intel i5 (from the link you gave). Here is a link from the official manufacturer about my desktop machine: http://ca.gateway.com/gw/en/CA/content/model/PT.GCPP2.019
8. Hello people, this is the first time I'm using this website :D. I'm looking to get a graphics card for my little brothers desktop pc for high end gaming and I'm interested in the following video card: EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti FBP Video Card - 1 GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.0 (x16). (Copied the above graphics card information from the TigerDirect website). I don't know whether it will be compatible with his desktop (haven't built a pc in 5 years). I was hoping someone could help me out. Here is his desktop information from PC Wizard: Manufacturer: Gateway Model: DX4860 Mainboard : Gateway IPISB-VR Chipset : Intel H67 Processor : Intel Core i3 2120 @ 3300MHz Number of Core : 2 Support : Socket 1155 LGA Cache L1 : 2 x 64KB Cache L2 : 2 x 256KB Cache L3 : 3072KB Physical Memory : 4096MB (2 x 2048 DDR3-SDRAM ) Video Card : IntelĀ® HD Graphics Family Hard Disk : Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 (1000GB) Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition Service Pack 1 (64-bit) DirectX : Version 11.00 Bios : American Megatrends Inc. Power Supply: 300 W LPC bus : Yes PCI Bus : Yes Bus PCI-Express : Yes USB Bus : Yes SMBus/i2c Bus : Yes Bus HyperTransport : No Bus QPI : No Bus CardBus : No Bus FireWire : No I hope this was enough information provided. I know that I'll probably have to upgrade the power supply since that graphics card requires a min 400 W PSU. However all I want to know is whether this pc is compatible with the graphics card. Thank you :D
