Years ago i knew all there was to know a out computers, got out of it for a few years and now things have passed me by. I am looking to get a new laptop/desktop and am wondering what i should get. Mostly it will be used for email, facebook, facebook games, PhotoShop (light use)........nothing to system intensive. I am looking at a nice AMD laptop with a quad core at 1.6ghz (i think)....then i got to wondering, does windows 7 and google chrome (the browser i use) utilize all 4 cores or would i be better off getting a dual core at 2.4ghz. And am i right to assume an i3 has 2 cores, i5 has 2 or 4 and a i7 has 4 or 6? To narrow down my questions.... Should i get AMD or Intel? Should i get a Dual or a Quad? Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
