It's working fine now :) I was just putting the rest of the deets incase someone else had the same problem :) And yes, it says to leave it blank for master/single :)

For anyone who needs it, these are all correct, apart from the fact it wouldn't boot even if i took the hdd out :) And they were on 2 separate controllers, the system HDD and the new one on one, with the system ones jumpers set to Master and the new ones set to slave and on the other cable there were no jumpers as it said to leave them off if it was a single drive :) Thanks for the reply anyway! :)

Can this be closed? I figured it out! When i put the new HDD in, the PC jiggled about the drive letters, so i just changed them back with the Computer Management app thing! :)

Depending on the beep and the BIOS, the beep could tell you the problem, do you know what BIOS you have?

Right here's the problem; My PC was seriously lacking in space ( Even with my 2 hard drives -.- ) So i decided to install another hard drive, now i only had 1 spare IDE but no spare Molex connector things, so i decided as i next to never use my DVD drive, I'd take it out and replace it with my spare HDD. After i done that, my pc would do a memtest and look for the IDE drives and something along these lines would come up 'E@@ 6@' and wouldn't go any further. So i fiddled with the jumpers, now it detects the IDE drives, win. But, I tried booting up normally and it just displays the boot screen for a short while, then restarts, over and over. So i tried 'Last known good..' that didn't work. I tried 'Enable VGA mode' that didn't work. And i also tried 'disable automatic restart on system failure' but it still does it, which makes me think it's not a system problem. But now, it will only start if i choose any of the 3 safe mode options and when in safe mode, i can access the new HDD fine! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

Okay, i recently backed up my messages from my phone, into a text file, but they're not in order.. is there any program that would 'collate' them? I'll give you an example. I'm looking for a program that can sort my music which isnt the lump of crud that is Ideal Music sorter. I've googled, and it seems Ideal music sorter has a plethora of websites with the program under different names, therefore, even if it works, i just don't want it. Can anyone help? I've been looking for weeks!

i was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a program which you could load a song into like import an mp3 file and it tells you he tablature/chords because i have a lot of unsigned bands music and im unable to find chords or tabs anywehere, also does anyone know a good guitar tuner, like one which would utilize the microphone on pc?

OK, My drive is a DVDRW drive and it reads discs with stuff on fine..but when i put a blank disc in..whatever it be, CD or DVD it will not recognise it!..everytime i click on the drive it says please insert a disc on into G: i dont know what drive it is..when i click properties it just says its a DVDRW 16X on the front of the thing its just got a lil' thing saying DVD dual Double Layer and 16x and a sticker saying: download LiveUpdate program from Welcome to Liveupdate to keep the best performance but i go to that site and go to download the program but its like 120mb and i cant download it because of my terrible dongle connection! anyway to fix this with out the update thing?

4.2?..sometimes not even that!..honestly oprea tells me now and then that its like 1.4 and connecting over and over doesnt work.. and because the library dont let people download a thing im off round the corner tomorrow to get it off a mates pc :D..thanks for the help anyway

Right, so, ive recently had to change my internet connection to a ****ty dongle..a vodafone one..and my connection is pants! and i need to download itunes 8.2 BUT the file is way to large!..its around 74/75 mb and my connection takes 20 mins to download a song..1 SONG! so iwas wondering if there is anywhere or anyway i could get itunes compressed?..in a rar file or something?

my computer cant hibernate anyway..and i have ccleaner i use it..space frees up then just goes full again!

i have a really big problem wih my computer..i got 2 hard drives ones from an old bt vision box and one is the original that came with the computer...any way about a week or so ago i started getting low disk space error messages..which was odd because i had over 50 gig the day before...the space went down from that to 112mb in about a day..so i rebooted..went o log in and got windows is out of memory or something like that..then it completely changed my user profile for my log in..so idecided to delete some hing ..i only remover about 6 gig but then about 10 minuets later the drive went from 6.1 gig to 30mb and everytime i tried deleting something it would just go straight back down.. its been happening for weeks now..and today it finally decided to go down to 0 bytes..i have absolutley no space what so ever on my c drive!? i cant do nothing!...unless the programs decide to load..which most of he time..they dont. and also i would like to know why is whatever it is picking on one hard drive? ive tried turning system restore of and alot of other things i got from other websites but nothing worked.. so i came here to ask the experts:D any help would be greatly appreciated! sorry for the ranting!
