  1. when you say check the wires do you mean inside the computer, as the computer shows on the speaker icon something is playing because the green level is going up and down do you still think a wire may be loose? windows automatically did find the drivers but it still didnt work
  2. Yes it did work with xp but unfortunately I formatted the drie so I can't check it again
  3. Hello im having problems with my pc that was running xp so i decided to install my other hard drive with vista already installed on it, everything else seems to work fine apart from the sound, i have tried countless drivers and still no sound, the sound levels show something is playing but i cannot hear it out my speakers which i have tested and are working fine. i currently have realtek ac 97 drivers installed as they seem to be the right ones for my pc but still no sound. i even went on the manufacture website and downloaded drivers but still no sound can anyone help me resolve this problem, these are my specs, System Manufacture HP Pavilion 061 System Model EP040AA-ABU a1307.uk
  4. Hello I recently bought a packard bell desktop 2nd hand a few months ago an recently whilst using it, it just turned of randomly and went dead and when you switch it back on the red power light comes up and you can hear the fan running but nothing comes up or loads on the screen, the screen itself works fine and I have checked this. Also I had the exact same problem with another desktop I had just before this, could this be a due to a overload of plugs I have or isit a coincidence that both went dead in the same placce and set up, does anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be and how I could fix this thanks !!
