  1. Hi, Here an update... Not good so far. ISP "Virgin Media" got me to do a tracert on http://www.johnkleis.com which stopped on trace 8 showing the fault was with godaddy, so Goddaddy refuses to accept its them and Virgin Media refuses its them either. What I am now going to do, is bring down one site "www.travelllama.com" and redirect the domain name to Hostgator and then re-upload the site to Hostgator. If the site Travelllama can then be found I know that it is godaddy, if the site cannot still be found, then I know its Virgin Media. I realise its a long winded way of finding out, but what must be done, must be done. I will publish a full update when known, but this won't be until tomorrow as I will have to wait for the domain to propagate with Hostgator. Regards Martin
  2. Hi, Just spent considerable time on phone to godaddy, after them doing extensive checks, they reckon Virgin Media may have blocked my hosting Ip address, Are you using Virgin Media, as godaddy reckons anyone visiting my sites using virgin media won't get the sites up, but everyone else not using virgin media will, I am about to ring virgin, will keep you updated. Regards Martin
  3. Hi Ken B, thanks for your help, Here's the sites: http://www.johnkleis.com http://www.travelllama.com http://www.this-could-be-your-site.com I have several Hosting Packages with diff companies, it seems only the Godaddy sites are timing out. Although yesterday a friend in Austria could get the sites up. Regards Martin
  4. Hi, I have a Technical Problem, can anyone advise please? I am running a windows 7 computer on a virgin hub 30 Mb package, I also have two other computers running from the same hub, 2 of these computers are connected to the hub by cable, the third a laptop via wireless. Here's the problem, internet connection seems fine for normal use, but when I visit certain site in the browser " my own sites I might add" they time out, I rang GoDaddy Hosting thinking that the sites were down, but after some checking these sites seem to be running ok it's just my computers/hub which is timing out. I then rank Virgin help desk, who checked the speed, and said that there was no problems but they did confirm that it was timing out on certain sites, one of which is http://www.travelllama.com. They said that it could be an IP Blocker but could not explain how to resolve the problem. Can anyone advise me on what steps I can take to resolve this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Kind Regards Martin
  5. It was the HD but now I have a further Problem Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying. I have replaced Bty, CPU and have now narrowed my problem down to the HD. So My new problem is: Windows 7 will not load onto this disc as it has not been partitioned and initialized, but I cannot partition and initialize without getting into Windows 7. Is there a way to do this without loading Windows 7 first? Regards Martin
  6. Thanks KenB, I think my local store sells a PSU for about 15 quid, so I will buy one anyway and see if that resolves my problem, due to work commitments it wont be until Wednesday, but I will submit a reply, so you know either way. Many thanks for your help Martin
  7. Thanks Jb and KenB, The additional HD has been installed internally, but I am unsure how to verify it through windows 7, thought it done it auto, unlike XP when you have to physically do it. Although I did remove it for a short while and the problem was still happening. Will have to consider the PSU, perhaps I might Purchase a spare and try it out. Martin
  8. Hi, I have a HP xw4600 workstation 500Gb (Sata). Several months ago I wanted to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate by doing a fresh install after formatting the Hard Drive. I have also added an additional 1T Hard Drive (Sata) for additional Storage. The computer worked fine for a while. Then suddenly when booting up I get the following error message: Non-System Disc or disc error, replace and strike key when ready. I have tried to set factory defaults in bios but this does not work. The funny thing is, if I keep switching off the power and trying again, eventually it does boot up, sometime on the 3rd or 4th attempt other times it can take 15 attempts. Obviously very frustrating, Can you help please.
