I tried with two modules in first two positions but nothing on the screen. But could hear hard disc bootup with normal noice. When I tried on next two positions with two modules nothing on the screen, but hear hard disc boot up with beep noice. Trired with 1 and 3 modules, nothing on the screen still.

I have 4 x 256. Two at a time doesn't work. First two slots re-boot quietly, but other two slots boeots up with beep noice. But none of the time nothing comes on the screen. Three slots the same. Four slots back to square one.

Cleaned all dust. But no differnce. Still turn itself off.

Hi, I have a problem with my computer. It switched off itself after few mins. Sometime switch off quicker some time bit late. Say about 10 mins. Every time after turn off, I cannot switch on with the switch. I have to inplug the power supply and press the switch for few seconds before re-connect and works. And same again. Some time computer freezes. No movement on mouse or key board. That time computer never switch off itself. What could be the reason? Windows xp pc. - Mahen

When replace the mother board, what should I look for? Compatable mother board.

pc problem no change after reset the BIOS.

pc problem tried with differnt PSU, one memory module & graphics card. But no change. Just fan working.

Pc Problem I have added one memeory module and tried. But no sign of anything apart from fan. Graphics card only have heatsink. So next option is to try with another PSU. Need to find one now. Has to be campatable PSU?

Hi KenB, No I don't get any beeps at all. Just fan working.

My advent pc T8 (http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/pc/t8.htm) have a problem now. Nothing come on the screen. Just fan noise. Can't hear hard disk booting up either. Lights on power swithch (at the front) No light to keyboard or mouse. Cannot open dvd drive with the button. what could be the problem is?
