Yes as I said earlier cd drive is set as # 1 all I get is error message.

d31vm non system disk error Yes disk drive is #1, HD is listed as #4. The disk is a full win xp. I have tried 2 differant MW xp disk, and also a differant HD. Same message comes up. The Cd drive light comes on and spins as it is reading the disk then the message comes up as non system disk reinsert system disk and hit any key. Thanks for your help.

I have a d31vm computer had to replace HD now I get the error non system diak error replace disk and hit any key, from the disk drive i assume. In bios both are shown. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I have win xp disk inserted when I get this message.
