  1. Hi, I will let you know straight away what the outcome is. I have had an email back from Aria who I purchased the Motherboard, Processor and Memory from, and he said to try resetting the CMOS by taking the battery out on the board and also seeing if anything displays by just using the motherboard GPU memory and CPU. Fingers crossed!!!!
  2. Hi Ken, Shouldn't it work if I plug the motherboard directly into my TV via HDMI?? I will try this when I get back from work. I was told by a friend of mine that Asus boards don't tend to beep when they are turned on, instead they have a series of lights next to the 24 pin power plug that show up any errors. Have you heard of this before?? I will also check this when I get home. Thanks
  3. Hi Ken, I do have the disk somewhere. Yes the motherboard has an HDMI and a "DisplayPort" output which I have never seen before. There are no VGA or DVI outputs. I would really appreciate it if you could look into the memory side of things for me. Thanks again Nick
  4. Hi There, Yes. How would I get it to boot up with the O/S on the drive?? I used 2 drives, one with the OS on it, and the other drive for storage. Would I need to have both plugged in?? It still concerns me a bit that the power doesn't seem to be going to the drives through the SATA though. I have never used forums before and I am so chuffed with the response!! Thanks
  5. Hi There, Thanks so much for your reply. I have checked all of the connections multiple times, and the main issue is that my monitor doesn't even turn on to show me the bios setting or anything. I have tried the memory in a variety of combinations and still it isnt working. I was thinking about buying a PSU tester to check if there is power going through the SATA cables, but I have spent so much money on these new bits I really wanna try to refrain from spending any more. There is no speaker on my PC so not sure if there is a post beep or not. Nick
  6. I recently have purchased a new motherboard, processor and RAM (see below for spec), and i also have a PSU that is only one year old. I plugged it all in last night and the motherboard powers on perfectly, the CPU fan spins away as does the graphics card fan. However there seems to be no power going to the SATA power cables as my Blu Ray drive won't power up. Also there is nothing showing on the monitor?? Any ideas?? Many Thanks Nick  Motherboard - ASUS MAXIMUS V GENE Intel Z77 Socket 1155 Processor - Intel Core i3 3.30GHz Socket LGA1155 Memory - Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333 Mhz 4GB x 2 Graphics Card - Nvidia Geforce 8800
