Hello All, I am building a PC for my son's birthday. Using Asus M4A78LT-M LE motherboard, AMD Phenom Bulldozer AM3 processor, 500W power supply, no dedicated graphics card, 4gb Kingston one slot RAM. And using old Packard Bell case I found on the street. Everything is set to go but it isn't. When pressing power switch - all fans are spinning, power indication diode on motherboard is lit, so there is power to motherboard. Keyboard and mouse flashes so they are being more or less recognized. At beginning I though that the power supply was dodgy because it has been removed from old machine long time ago. Bought a new one - still nothing, then though maybe the case power switch is faulty as that case could be standing in the rain and get water contaminated. Bought a new switch - still nothing. Now my only conclusion is - faulty motherboard. Because when I connecting HDD led, Power led they are not working - not on old switch, not on new switch. I have tried different combination, but all the markings on power switch is quite straight forward, so don't think that is the case. So, before go for a new motherboard, maybe someone know any way how to make sure that it is really a motherboard? Ah! and there is no any post sounds when PC is switched on. And i have also changed BIOS battery. Help please??
