    Hi Guys. Thanks for your advice but I had tried all these options as a matter of course prior to posting this thread. I'm starting to think that there may be a fault in the printer chip itself. I'm going to bring it over to my place and see if it installs on my Vista OS. Simon

    Hi My friend has a new printer(as above.) The installation, wether from disc or update from Epson, always stalls at the connection point where the PC tries to find the printer which is connected via USB. I have done two complete uninstalls and used CC to clear up any random registry issues. I have also tried install with the Windows firewall disabled but nothing seems to make any difference. The OS is Windows 7. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated Thank you
