I just built my first ever gaming PC, it all seemed to go pretty smoothly after finding I accidently ordered 32Gb of RAM instead of 16. Nevertheless I installed all 32GB and put in my AMD FX-8120 applied the thermal paste and put on my heatsink. Got it all inside my case and wired it all up to the best of my ability and turned everything on. I was expecting to be sent into the BIOS screen or to any screen but instead it told me that there was no HDMI, VGA or DVI input even though my graphics card fans was spinning so I guess that was working? anyway I turned it all off and looked it all over and decided I was sure I didn’t do anything wrong so I tried again and instead there was a flash inside the case and it seems some part of the motherboard had burned out. this is the first time ever ding anything like this and I wanted to know from anyone that might possibly have read all of this if this is just bad luck or if I did something wrong and also if the fact that the motherboard burnt up has something to do with the lack of picture on the display
