  1. Its the business network for the pub i live in. There are no IT techs to speak of so unless these settings were created when the network was set up i don't think there would of been any changed.
  2. no, its a BT business network and its secured. thanks again for the replies.
  3. I cant use an ethernet cable because the router is so far from my computer, wireless is the only option
  4. Hi Ken thanks for the response The browser i tend to use is Mozilla but the connection drop doesn't really happen when using the browser only when using an update client for example Steam or GW2. I have tried shutting down my firewall to see if that was causing any issues but it hasn't worked. http://speedtest.net/result/2205655206.png the speedtest is pretty poor but i live in a rural area and my connection itself is quite good considering. Seems like a pretty unusual problem to me, i haven't been able to find any info on stopping this from happening. Cheers again mate.
  5. Hi guys, I was wondering if anybody had any experience with wireless network dropping when trying to download via a client... The example I have most recently is trying to patch Guild Wars 2 my wireless connection instantly drops when the client loads, I then have to reset the wireless adapter a few times and the network comes back up and works fine again for everything but larger downloads. My wireless network adapter is a Belkin F6D4050 USB adapter due to my wireless connection having its Router quite far away from where my computer is placed. Any other information needed in trying to sort this issue?, any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.
