I have a recently purchased a new PC for my home office. Network configuration is Cable (DSL) modem, DLink I604 hw rev E router (current firmware version) my old home pc, my office laptop, the new computer, and an HP printer.
When the new PC is connected to the router, it will not boot. Hangs at the Windows XP logo. When the new pc is connected directly to the cable modem, it boots and works fine. If the new PC is booted without connecting to the router, then connected to the router, network access is fine. My old home computer and work computer is still fine.
Hardware, Software, and firmware details available if anyone has ideas on where to go next. PC manufacturer says it's not their problem, DLink tech support says it's not their problem, my cable provider is the only people that really tried to help at all but they could not find the problem. (they blame the PC).
Thanks in advance.
