  1. hi, been trying to play a few games on my rig and they keep crashing. i would of thought my gtx 580 should run black ops 2 and assassin creed 3 pretty well.? ive over clocked the fx 8120 to 3900 mhz 19.5X 1.275V i assume this is optimal for this cpu.? ive also tried clocking the zotac gtx 580 to 920/2200/1.100mv and tried to run the games then also set it back to standard and tried..? installed lastest openGL and direct X. dont really understand why it crashes so much.?
  2. yep was correctly installed and used new paste. the pump wud start just a second after i turned on also had it turned right up because there is 3 settings. might be because im only using one fan on the radiator because i cant mount the rad internally with both fans without it clashing with the motherboard... im guessing thats the problem..?
  3. problem solved. was the bloody corsair H100 water cooler i was using isnt man enough to cool the cpu on boot.. what a crock of ***** that thing is.. think thats been the problem from the start.. what a nightmare.! anyway windows is now installing.. would advise NOT TO USE CORSAIR H100 ON A AM3+ cpu..!! wizzy out :)
  4. hey, well ive sent the computer off and they said that everything was fine so they sent it back and ive plugged it back in and yea it turns on goes to boot then shuts down..??? what are they playing at. he said they took the HDD's out tested all them, also ram and cpu and even my old psu that crackled and popped apparently still works..!!! any ideas why it wont continue to boot now? everything comes on all the lights fans for about 10 seconds then the gamers elite bios menu pops up then it shuts down??
  5. well... got my new psu from ccl.. plugged everything in and push the old faithful power button and...... nothing..! the fans turned for 1 sec.. the cpu l.e.d flashed on the crosshair v formular motherboard once and the OC, Start and RESET button all stay on perminatly but nothing else... any ideas..? never used a gamers mother board before so dont know if it needs reseting or anything? ive got a feeling the board is fryed and isnt going to work... :(( very sad times very expensive loss..!!!!
  6. id just say get a new g-card. i use the gtx 580 you can get these very cheap now as they are 2 years old but at 1.5gb DDR they are very powerful and ample for your problem..! otherwise id suggest getting ur misses a PS3 and boot her in the spare room to play sims while you watch the football... thats what i do :) hope this helps. Wizz
  7. ive contacted corsair and they are happy to take the psu back and send me a new one which is good.. so im just waiting to get that until i try to see if anything else is fried. ive been assured by them there product does protect the motherboard e.c.t so lets hope they are right.. always good to know though. im 100% sure there was no leek its a sealed corsair unit and it would of leeked on my g-card before it got onto the psu..! :)
