hi again no tried what you said but the pc still says it cant find a hard drive i have even tried another ide lead but still nothin

hi i tried to instal another hard drive into my pc i linked it up with the exsisting h/d using the ide cable but the pc then said it couldnt find a operating system i removed the h/d and then tried to boot from the original h/d which i had changed nothin on but it now cant find a hard drive please help my operatin systemis xp pc is a fujisui semens
