Never mind, stupid user! Plugged it in to the wrong ports :op

Hi there, I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and i have today noticed that I can get sound out of the front port on my pc via headphones but i cant get it out of the back ports via my 7.1 surround sound gear which used to work on vista. I've tried going to the realtek website and getting the updated "2.49" driver but everytime i uninstall the old driver using this software it uninstalls the old driver and resets. Upon reboot it obviously automatically install the old driver and wont let me run the downloaded one. The driver that is it currently using is "6.0.1.6132" 1) Does anyone know if this is the Windows 7 compatible driver? 2) If it is, any ideas of why since the install i have lost all sound from the back of my pc? Hi again, Thats what I did, I used the uninstall feature and then went and did a sweep in the program files for nything which was still lexmark and then reinstalled and the problem still persisted. Not sure why its still doing it, its more of an irritation than anything else. Sparx

Sadly I dont have that option. Its odd, the printer still works and prints fine, its just that error comes up at the startup of windows. Don't really know what the error means. Sparx

Hi again, I just did the driver remove and reinstall and the error is still coming up when i load windows. Any other ideas? Sparx

Hi all, Yesterday I was having a problem with my printer which was something along the lines of "Spooler Application has stopped working." That problem has now stopped but i am getting on saying "printer monitor transfer failure" and I dont know what its doing it. Any ideas of what is wrong, my computer seems to have slowed down alot lately too. My printer is a lexmark x7675. Thanks in advance. Sparx

Hi guys, On my new pc i've been trying to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 and everytime it fails giving the error Code E0434F4D. I've had a quick search on the net and it says about repairing the file in add or remove programs but i dont get a repair option. Any ideas? Sparx

I've just knocked up an example spreadsheet, basically i want it to be able to enter the Site & House type in the blue squares and it to fill in the corresponding information in the purple squares. I agree that access would be better but i'm kinda editing an excel sheet which someone else has created and that they keep updated so i kinda need to find a way of doing it in excel. I've just quickly knocked up a fake table to help me explain: Master sheet Value 1 H1258 Value 2 P409- Value 3 20000 Value 4 154 Value 5 18118 Value 6 12118 Value 7 11158 Value 8 3336 Value 9 8895 Value 10 5987 Value 11 6568 So basically I want to be able to enter H1258 in a cell on another sheet, which will then check all the "Value 2" figures to match another figure that i type in on the front sheet, this will then return values 3-11 in cells below. Basically it has to match the Value 1 figure with the Value 2 figure and then return the other values. Hope that help explains better. I know its a tricky one, i've been fiddling with lookup and match formulae for ages trying to work this out. :op Sparx

Hi there, I'll try to explain this as best i can. Basically i use a massive spreadsheet alot at work with lots of information on back sheets being pulled through to front sheets for display to directors. Basically I'm looking for a formula which will lookup and match 2 values in a table and then display the reems of information below. For example, On sheet 1 i want to be able to use 2 drop down menu's to select a site name and house type and then due to matching these 2 figure to the master back sheet, display all of the information with regards to trades below in specified lines. I'm sure its possible but I just need a little guidance how. If its unclear as to what i need please say and i will try and word it different, maybe even with pictures if need be. Hi there, The other day I was browsing the net and all of a sudden my computer slowed down and froze. I restarted and now since then, I've had pop ups coming up for random websites and after a while of browsing the net (usually about 1.5 hours) the computer slows down and eventually will go so slow its impossible to use. Steps already taken: I've already run a Super Antispyware scan and removed anything it found and also ran an Ad-Aware scan and removed anything that found yet the problem still persists. I have also run my normal antivirus which is Bullguard software and removed anything it found, still no luck. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance! Regards, Shane

Hi all, I am just posting again to generally get a feel for what people think it is. My aunt was installing the talk talk internet software onto her pc and all was fine and then when it did the restart after the install, the computer loaded back up and she had no task bar or icons. I'm wondering if there is an easy solution that I could explain to her over the phone. She's not very computer literate and well I was kinda hoping there would be a simple solution somehow to save me having to travel to hers to fix it. :op Thanks in advance for any responses. Sparx

Yeah you will be able to do that, I recently bought a new router and i currently have my pc and xbox 360 hard wired and my wii going wireless and it works like a charm. :o)
