Hi ,thanks for replies-- Windows Vista Home Basic, think friends is XP Afraid not sure about detail re version of works, where would I find this? Have managed to find a USB so I can atleast sort out the present letter I want to print but i need to sort out this out if the problem re occurs Thanks pc

Hi, Not sure if this is the right place but here goes. I typed a letter in Word and because my printer is on the blink I sent it as an attachment to be opened on a friends computer and then print. I decided to check the letter again when it was in the attachment and got the following message-- WORKS CAN NOT OPEN The file may be in use by another application, the file format may not be supported by any of the installed converters, or the file may be corrupt. I tried opening it on friends computer but got the same message. No other applications were open and automatic virus check was done before. Never had any problem before this. regards pc

Hi I used to use Picture it Publishing which I foung nice n easy but will not work with Vista. Can anyone please suggest a similar product compatible with Vista and just as easy to use? thanks

Hello to all I am connected to the internet via a BT package. Everything has been going fine for over a year. At Christmas I bought my son a new monitor as a present (he has his PC upstairs). His PC has been fine untl he tried to connect the new monitor!!. When he was unable to go online he went back to his old style monitor. It seems that it shows there is a connection but the signal is not strong enough to allow him to go online. Our system is wireless and he has a card in his PC for web connection. Why should the internet work before and not now?? advice please regards

I came across this site while searching for help with a PC problem. Although I am not technicaly street wise I know my way around the internet. I am sorry to say that I want my PC to do what i want when I press the buttons and get very frustated when that doesn't happen but I have great respect for the machine.
