  1. Im now using only the onboard graphics - intel hd 3000 or smthg. The Nvidia one hasnt been used since the drop, and there are no nvidia drivers installed, Last time i installed them there was the yellow triangle, after i reinstalled windows, the triangle was gone, and I could launch applications/games with Nvidia, when they loaded up there was a freeze and blue screen. So i just didnt bother with it, this was all half a year before black outs.
  2. I have not installed any Nvidia drivers, -> for nvdia gpu it shows - > Standard VGA Graphics Adapter > This device cannot start. (Code 10) for the onboard - > Intel® HD Graphics Family -> This device is working properly. Nvidia has been dead after the drop, and i just uninstalled the drivers and let it rot inside, because im not too comfortable with opening laptops front. So I think that the broken Nvidia is not the fault to the blackouts, because I lived without it for months before the blackouts started.
  3. This is after few hours of laptop running The dropping of the laptop happened few months before the blackouts thou... 4. Yes, I uninstalled the old driver, installed the one from laptops website, it was ok for few days, not it still keeps crashing, not that frequently, but still annoying and fustrating. Restart seems to fix the problem, for a while. and still, if I turn off computer by "shut down", while the screen is black or w/e color it crashed in, when i boot up, it does not show anything, it's all black, and after 3-4 restarts it will work.
  5. Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems But now that i dont have drivers it shows just standart VGA adapter. and the screen crashes r coming back, once they start have to restart the laptop because after they will become unbearable and eventually crash for good.
  6. Yes, thoes are the drivers. Got to crash only about twice a day now, if I don't put in high performance battery settings, and have win95 theme. Intel is onboard and Nvidia is dedicated, are you sure that the yellow triangle is with software, because i first got that triangle right after laptop hit the floor.
  7. Hello kind people, The demon spawn within my laptop is awaken again, plotting how to ruin my gaming experience. So I beg you again, wise online exorcists, free me from this nightmare, and send the demon back to it's slumber. Intel Driver Accelerator has just recovered from crash ( not exact words ) but this bubble on top of task bar warned me that the danger is close. The bubble is not the problem, as it is just messenger, the problem is, that everytime the driver crashes, the screen starts flickering, going full white, then black, before it restarts the ?driver?, at first it took just few seconds for it to do it, but then it started taking it's time. It started 1 week ago, and now when the screen starts flickering, it does not come back, it will just stay black, or w/e color was on the screen when IT happened until you restart your system. I think the system is responding while the screen is getting ****ed by the demon, becaus I have managed to turn off the laptop properly without holding powerbutton, just by pressing it. never again will i do such a thing, because, upon powering on my machine, the screen was just blue, no bios boot, no ASUS logo before windows, just blue, and fickering and then it went black, had to reset it atleast 3 times before it started working. In safe mode the demon does not bug me, alhough the screen sometimes does go full white/w/e color is on display, it resets quickly and fast enough to avoid me to panic. It also does that eveytime the windows log in to the user in safe mode. It happened after I installed the newest IntelHD drivers from their website.. how stupid of me, if it's not broken don't fix it... dooh.. What I HAVE tried -> Uninstalling the IntelHD driver Installing different driver from Intel website Installing drivers from the ASUS website ( they have not updated them since 2011) Changed my theme so it looks like im from the 90s and reduced the screen brightness to the minimum ( it does seem to help, or maybe I'm imagining it) My laptop - > ASUS N55Sf The Nvidia card is broken, yello triangle in the device manager, so i've disabled it
  8. <br><br>As I was downloading the soft, my hdd failed, everything was slow and laggy, after some while blue screen showed up again and i was not able to turn it back on. I tried to use recovery DVD's that I used first 2 times, it showed ERROR 1025 ( could not find what that means in google ). And I was not able to install different OS like XP, so I changed the HDD ( weird thing thou - I am not able to install any other OS except the ones from recovery cd, I have tried - WinXP, WinXPx64, Win7 ultimate, Win7 home, in Backtrack my keyboard doesnt work so I can't type startx, even usb one even on the new HDD) But I could install Win7 from recovery CDs. Now I plugged my old HDD via USB to see what's happening. Particion with all the stuff is working, the particion with OS is not, it says that I have to format it, but when I try to do that, it fails. <br>I Did download Seatools, and this is what it showed --------------- SeaTools for Windows v1.2.0.8 ---------------24/04/2013 21:32:51 Unit Model: ST9640423AS Model: ST9640423AS Serial Number: 5WS29ZA0 Firmware Revision: 0001SDM1 Short DST - Started 24/04/2013 21:32:49 Short DST - FAIL 24/04/2013 21:32:54 SeaTools Test Code: 65D8EDE6 Long Generic - Started 24/04/2013 21:42:51 Long Generic - Pass 24/04/2013 22:30:54
  9. I have a weird problem with my laptop. It is almost 2yrs old Asus NS55 (with everything stock)The thing started to happen after first 6 months I got my precious. As I was doing what I'm doing with my laptop, suddently the sound got messed up, as if it would be runing 3x slower. and then the blue screen of death. At 1st i thought it's just one night stand or smthg. but it kept doing it, even when i was sleeping and the laptop was just standing there, staring at me sleep. Each time when it turns on after the blue screen it asked to insert bootable device. after another restart it was ok. few weeks of doing so, it finally died - it would not recognize my hdd as bootable. Had to reinstall it and everything was fine. After another 6months it came back, everything was the same, except now, my hdd was corrupt - i couldn't read info from it if i plug it into another laptop.Had to reinstall and it was working fine. Except now, the symptoms are back again, and I don't know how long it will last. but the crashes keep getting more frequent. Can anyone guide me through this hell ? Thank You. PS - Irrelevant to topic - The laptop was also attacked by my girlfriend, and now the GeForce in device manager says (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43))? Does that means that it's done for ?
