KenB you deserve a pat on the back yet again. A system restore seems to have cured all the problems i have. Many thanks for your patience and help.

KenB i have visited this page before but i have tried again. I tried to download Internet Explorer and instal it and it seemed ok But trying to open it, it takes me to Edge. i have tried the second option listed. I followed the instructions to import from two different computers that do not have the problem. But on both computers the htmlfile is absent in the list.

I have managed (eventually !)to download and instal gpedit.

Hi KenB. No i haven`t uninstalled a browser. I use Outlook for email which is working ok. Tried gpedit.msc already but nothing. Using w10 home.

Another problem ! If i try to click on an email link, I believe called hyperlink, i get a message saying This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.Please contact your system administrator. I have searched the Internet and tried loads of things and still cannot resolve the problem. Help!

Yes i does eventually shut down on its own as i said. It goes back to the desktop but without the task bar icons. but after a few seconds they also return. I have also tried the repair function you suggested but without curing the problem.

Thanks for the reply KenB. I have checked for addins but there is not any there. So the problem persists unfortunately.

I have a problem that seems to have cropped up recently. I have MS Office 2010 and after using Word it will not shut down correctly. It shows a blue circle spinning and just hangs. Eventually i can get it to close and the desktop appears without the task bar shortcuts. The shortcuts reappear and all is fine. The operating system is W10. I have tried searching the net without success.

As the title says is it possible to record a Webcast. My wife has past away and a Webcast will be showing the service live . Is there a way i can record the service?

Thanks for your reply Rustys. My version of Office is 2010. Sorry should have mentioned that. But it was the same anyway, as what you said was correct. I have managed to transfer all my contacts using your advice. Its not as good as Outlook but thats maybe because we do`nt like change! Thanks for the help.

I use Microsoft Office Outlook for my e-mail .I do not use anything else in Office. So thought i would try a prog called eM client.It has installed ok and i can send and receive e-mails . My problem is trying to import my contacts list from Outlook. I have searched the web and tried various suggestions without success. Can anyone help. I have also tried another Forum without success.

Hope i am in the correct thread. I play the free games on Facebook every now and again. Today i have noticed that the Game shortcuts on the left of my home page are missing. Searched the net and see its a problem for lots of people. Does anyone have the answer to reinstate them please?
