  1. Hi, thinking of buying the tesco hudl 2.0 for my son. How do you guys rate it? Hands-on experience from users/owners would be great. (my son's 9 and will mostly using it to store photos, browse the web and play you tube videos, and do a bit of gaming). Cheers
  2. Thank you. I don't think i'll be opting for that one though, as I've not really heard of it that much. I was more thinking along the lines of Firefox, safari, or Google chrome. Benji
  3. If I decided to go with Google Chrome, would Incognito help with privacy? (I've been using InPrivate mode with IE so far. I don't mind re-loading my usernames and passwords every morning, not a problem for me). Or does that not make any difference to my privacy? Thanks for the feedback so far :)
  4. Hi, I use Internet Explorer on my home pc (Windows XP home). No real problem with that, maybe not the fastest browser around, but ok for my needs I have to say. My question is, some downloads are not supported by IE (ex: Spotify), and recommend I use either Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Reluctantly, I'm going to have to install a 2nd browser on my pc, but which would you recommend? (the lightest one would be great, I don't like clutter! But that may not be the best approach!?) FYI, i use the web mostly to go on Facebook, Youtube, Dailymotion, TV and Radio podcasts and Iplayers, etc... Thank you :) Benji
  5. Sounds exactly like what I've experienced. Sometimes it takes ages to turn on (if it ever does, that is). Not impressed by the technology, but a relative bought that as a present for my 7 year old son, and he would be disappointed if I said to him the ipod's not great, best off forgetting about it, son. I can't do that, really! So, I'm trying hard lol!!!
  6. I guess I'll do just that. Cheers mate, thanks for your input. Benji
  7. the ipod's brand new. It would help though if the manufacturer would simply write on/off on the on/off slide button! Anyway, I tried all that, still nothing working. Also, the ipod is fully charged, I know that for sure, but when i switch it on, the hourglass logo appears on the screen, and just stays there, no menu appearing now!!! Not sure what's going on here lol??? I must say i'm not impressed by the products of this particular brand: No on/off indication / manufacturer having to explain on their website how to press a simple button / etc, does not bode well, I find (I mean pressing a button should not have to be explained really). Have they tried too hard, and ended up with products that just don't work (Shuffle never worked for me either, same brand)??? Thanks for the help by the way, very much appreciated
  8. thanks for your help seedy, i followed your instructions, and also checked the link you gave me, followed more instructions there. Nothing will do. Very bizarre. The Apple logo does not even appear on the ipod. In fact, nothing happens when i press and hold both menu and select buttons simultaneously. I can't figure it out! Even in Itunes's own help section, they explain how to set ipod up and sync it... I have the latest version of itunes, and yet, some of the functions they show in their tutorial are not present at all in my itunes version!!! I'm baffled! lol
  9. the cable is working, as it is charging correctly (it's the only cable that came with it anyway). My girlfriend used to have a shuffle, and i never managed to work that one out too, same problem. Is that common of apple products to not be straightforward? I've been using computers for donkey's years, always find my way around any problem of any type, but never seem to be able to do so with shuffles or ipods, etc!!! I'm really puzzled as to why that would be!
  10. thank you seedy21. No, when i plug in my ipod into pc via usb port, it doesn't seem to recognise it. I'd expect to see the ipod coming up on my list of devices with removable storage or something! I can't find it in itune either (I'd expect to see it listed so i can sync it. Sync option not even available actually, ie: it's there, but not hilighted)
  11. Hi, hope I'm posting this in the right place! I have an ipod classic, i've also itunes installed on my pc (windows xp home ed). Itunes does not seem to locate my ipod, therefore i can't sync it. My aim was to upload some of my music (stored in pc) onto my ipod. I know it sounds silly but I can't work it!!! Any help would be appreciated, cheers. Benji
