  1. thanks Nev :) what did you make of the part about the speed of the RAM ? it mention AM2+ for 1066 ? am i allowed to put two stick of 2GB, 1066 speed in it? or two sticks of 2GB at 800 speed? many thanks!
  2. Hi Nev sorry about that :( The processor is 2.3 Triple Core.....:) I've reattached the spec of my PC and the details of the motherboard, these should be better to read ?? :D many thanks!
  3. Hi Nev a little more advice if you can plz.... this sint the side of computing i know masses about :( sorry I've ran a tool to identify the specs on my PC, they are attached, so i could see maybe where i could speed it up. The bit in the red box is the computer spec, the top part is my motherboard spec. I see i have a triple core processor which isnt too bad is it? the 4GB of RAM is 400MHz which seems slow by todays standards ? but on the motherboard spec, it mentions that 1066 MHz is the fastest this motherboard will identify, but i dont understand the bit about the CPU limitation and AM2+ ? does it mean that i can i can put 1066 speed ram in one slot only, therefore i need a 4GB stick of 1066 for that slot? i;m not clear on what i can add for the upper limit..... hope you can adivse and thanks again :o
  4. Hi Nev well, i've got the latest version on PaintShop Pro X5 and so far so good , no memory errors as yet *fingers crossed* It still runs a little slowly when editting the files that are around 30MB in size, to speed that up is that the graphics card or the RAM? I'm upto my limit on RAM sadly as i only have the 32-bit windows, :( thabks for the help so far! Zoe
  5. Hi Nev I've just had the same error again on Paint Shop pro... :( Do you have any idea what else it could be? i looked at the settings in PSP itself but there's nothing relating to memory usage thanks Zoe
  6. thanks Nev. ;) I did what you said, for the C: drive it was set as System Controlled, set at 3626MB, recommended size was 4929MB The 2nd HDD, E: drive which i'm working off, had no Page file at all.....was that the problem? :( I've set them both at 5000MB, max size 7000MB , so hopefully that error may not occur again.....it was so frustrating to keep losing stuff! thanks again and fingers crossed!
  7. i wondered if anyone could advise me plz, my system has 4GB of RAM and has the NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT graphics card I am working on some files (around 20-30MB in size) using Paint Shop Pro 7 and keep getting an error, that says File Cannot Be Saved, Insufficient Memory, after which it usually crashes, deleting the file with it  Can anyone tell me is this due to the amount of RAM or the Graphics Card spec?? I know the system cannot read any more RAM as its the 32-bit version of Vista, so i'm hoping its the Graphics Cards fault.....if it is can i then just buy a better graphics card and slot it in?? thanks
