  1. Thx for your help. I tried running the sfc thing but it won't let me saying I must be an administrator to running a console session to use the sfc utility, would you happen to know how I do this Thanks
  2. Hi, yes these devices are all USB ones, under the USB section of the area you mention there is a "USB composite device" there is an exclamation mark. I have tried clicking on it and trying to update the driver, search online etc but it never works. It would be ok if it was just one device but its 3 that all connect by USB and I have the same issue with all 3. Thanks for your help Austin
  3. Recently In 3 separate occasions i have tried to connect 3 pieces of hardware to my laptop, a midi keyboard, a children's Ereader toy and an audio recorder which has been previously installed on that computer and in every case a message has come up saying drivers not installed. I have tried disabling my norton and also going to the manufacturer websites but nothing worked. I contacted PC world and they suggested a full wipe and restore of factory settings. I did this but am still getting the same message. Does anyone know what might be blocking the installation of these drivers and how I might resolve it. My laptop is a Samsung btw. Many thanks ..
