  1. Yeah I thought about that afterward. :b The simpliest fix was just to create another administrative account then uninstall on there. I guess it was the user of my computer that was infected or something. Thanks.
  2. Today I found out i've got a virus, being searchprotect from conduit.. Attempt to remove/uninstall in the add or remove files in control panel (In which AVG goes crazy with the "Threat found" which also can't be removed)? "you do not have sufficient access to uninstall Search Protect by conduit. Please contact your system administrator." Read only is on, I'm assuming that's the problem. Yeah? Run->cmd.exe. (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS WIN7) and attempting the command: attrib -r /s "c:\Program Files (x86)\SearchProtect" comes with the text: "Parameter format no correct -" Also have tried attrib -r -s "drive\folder\folder" instead by the way. Same exact result. I've looked around and apparently /s /d at the end also works..Not for me. I did have to do something similar for allowing me to put skins in IMGTool, but I think it might of been slightly different lines. I'm not sure. Just now I got the "take ownership" thing, and it still didn't work. I went to security in properties to permissions, and creater owner doesn't want to take rights. Keeps resetting. idk. "You reuqire permission from Mike-PC\M1 to make changes to this folder." if I try to delete. And I cannot remove read only, still. Help anyone? Will be much appreciated. Thanks. Btw, I've now tried attrib -r C:\PROGRA~2\SEARCH~1\*.* /s and nothing. No message now, but no changes made. *********My main goal is to remove the "read only" thing. I can remove the threat afterwards, but it just refuses to be uncolored. (the box) I think this is what I need to do to uninstall it, anyway. yeah?
