  1. UPDATE By a remarkable coincidence, the superhub today reset itself, possibly and update. I have re port forwarded the nas and reserved its and other devices ip addresses in the dhcp pool. I will keep you updated as to whether this has fixed the problem Regards Pete
  2. ok thanks. i will try this in the next few days and let you know how i get on pete
  3. Thanks for the reply. As far as I am arware, the superhub is an all in one modem / router which contains a Netgear router inside the unit. The nas is connected directly to it by ethernet. I am not aware of any connection problems at the exact moment the windows 8 computer reports the nas is inaccessible, or when I am streaming music, as I'm invariably the only person in the room when it happens. If there are, I suspect they are temporary, as if the superhub rebooted or even had a temporary interruption. Regards Pete
  4. Hello all. I have intermittent connectivity on my home network across various devices (Windows 7 and 8 pcs, android tablet and phone plus seagate goflex home network attached storage and also a smart tv) therefore I am suspecting something wrong in common with all these, my Virgin Media Superhub. We have cable TV and internet. The superhub appears to contain a cable modem with a netgear router. One issue is, when trying to transfer a large amount of data from my windows 8 pc (Via ethernet and homeplug) to the network attached storage via the superhub, I will always get a message saying the NAS is not accessible after an hour or so. Another is, when playing music wirelessly from a samsung tablet, via the superhub, to an ethernet-connected smart tv, the song will stop and I will have to restart it. Yet another is, when trying to access the NAS remotely from another pc at a friend's house, seagate share will say that the NAS is offline. this is despite allowing it to be accessed remotely and port-forwarding the superhub. Sometimes it will allow access remotely, but will disconnect after a while. I have gone into each device's setting and given it a static IP address. Plus I have gone into the superhub settings and reserved each device's IP address via the dhcp pool. Before I make the assumption it's the superhub and purchase another cable modem/router, I wondered if anyone else had any input... Regards Pete
