installed windows 8 on my pc as a fresh install want to go back to 7, will the 7 disc just write over 8 or is it not that simle ?

Well its installed but can't connect to the internet do i need to install drivers ? Doesn't seem to be able to detect anything.

Hope i'm not installing an illegal disc but on the legality issue is it not just a case that dell having now moved over to 8 are offloading there surplus stock ?

Disk came from ebay ist a dell install disc with the product key, been into menu and drive is there.

Trying to install windows 7 on a new hard drive, 1. asks to press any key to boot from cd dvd 2. Progress bar runs for about 1 min 3. starting windows comes up on screen 4. 1min later windows logo joins it 5. then everything just stops Any suggestions ?

Got the virus also infects with safe prompt... exporer.exe and dont seem to have a restore point either pretty dismal i know. any way i can remove ? thx in advance.

Have an online account with william hills recentely been unable to get on, it comes up with internet explorer unable to download sports EN ,message. Works fine on laptop, has worked fine on desktop until recently not aware of anything i've done or settings been chaged so got no idea why its not working. Thx ......

Hi i do apologize i did originally post on different forum because i was struggling to log onto this one. But think that may have been down to the problem i'm having as other things ie antivirus updates dont work either it gives me unable to connect to internet message, although Aol works fine. Then of cause there them 2 minds greater then 1 theory, not taking into account the too many cooks theory, using laptop to post now and that seems to work on this site alltime so happy to carry on with your advice if thats ok. Think most things or at least the stuff that matters are backed up but will need a walk through on partitioning and reinstalling if thats the direction your heading.

Same problem with malwarebytes "malwarebytes has stopped working" Tried SAS and it blue screened me.

Sorry been a little sketchy i'll try a little harder. Tried renaming malware but get same result which is a windows message saying "malwarebytes has stopped working" tried in safemode with same effect. Also system restore lets me choose the point and goes into it process only to reboot pc then tell me its been unsuccessful. Tried it on different points and a few times too with same effect

no. malwarebyte and superantispyware won't work neither will system restore.

" Project 1 has stopped working " windows defender :trojandownloader:32/renos.jf still there but trojans gone now also system restore no working and burning studio can't find compatable cd drive could these be linked ?
