Many thanks, Starbuck for this informative input regarding Windows 10 ads. I have printed out your guidance and will proceed with that very shortly. In the meantime I have this backwards L shaped thing on my screen which I can't get rid of. It has 10 or 11 little icons within it which if clicked on is a kind of ad also. Any guidance on getting rid of that would be appreciated. Keep up your great work. bb37

My PC updated itself recently (W10). Now when I click on something it shows "Blank Page' while it is searching and then it comes up on my screen Can't reach this page'. The page won't refresh and when I click on the other 'Search what you are looking for' I get mostly gobbledegook. Help, please. BB37

Hi All: I just scanned a letter with the intention of attaching it to an email in reply to a request. Using W8.1 by the way. As I was trying to send it to my Desktop so that I could attach it to the email I selected something or other, obviously the wrong thing, the screen went black but still had all the icons on it. Eventually I got the letter attached to the email and sent that. Now, after I used the restore function to see if I could get back to where I was the black screen disappeared but the letter is now part of the screen background. How can I get rid of that and get my original screen back? Thank you in advance.

That is correct, Nev. I played around with it for awhile, eventually deleting everything in my pdf saved file and it worked. Thank you for your interest.
