Hello, just to keep you updated i managed to get the laptop sent off for repair this week. I was given a DOA code by Lenovo and saveonlaptops.co.uk (box.co.uk) have picked it up for repair. Hopefully it will be sorted out swiftly as it's not great that i have received a faulty machine and having to wait what could be two weeks to have it all sorted out! Kris

Thank you for the quick response Nev, I think you're right. Definitely looks to be a problem with the LCD connector and looks like a tricky job from what I've read online. I'll be in touch with the supplier and arrange repair, thanks for your help. Kris

Hi, I have a Lenovo z50-75 within it's warranty, and the screen cuts out completely when set at a certain angle. When it is at a good angle however everything is perfectly fine. I have some experience with laptops and computers, i replaced several components in my old laptop myself, is there a way for me to check if the LCD display cable is loose and remedy this myself without voiding the warranty? If there are some instructions that would help too. Thanks for your time
