Hi, Starbuck. Many thanks for your help in solving this problem, the fix you posted resolved the matter and the computer is now fully updated and running fine. When it finally started to update I think it said that it was the anniversary update and if I changed my mind I can revert back again. Many thanks again. Johnyboy.

Hello all, I have just joined your forum hoping to get help with a computer problem I have. I have just logged onto a laptop computer that has not been used since November 2015, so decided to update windows, when I click onto check for updates it continues trying to find updates for several minutes before throwing up a message requesting to try again, which I have done many times without success. I have it set to automatically install updates, I found the Windows update troubleshooter and ran it, but it did not find anything but gave out this code 0X 800705b4. Any help would be much appreciated. Johnyboy.
