  1. Hi all, My norton antivirus has just expired, and unable to renew it straight away i am fairly certain I have contracted something pretty nasty. Basically I constantly get alerts from MS antispyware 2009 (which i didn't even know i had) saying i've got spyware up the yinyang... I wanted to go online to find a free package (AVG maybe?) however clicking on links from google results pages just constantly takes me to some random site nothing to do with the link. Also i have a couple of free pieces of software already installed, superantispyware and a malware one however this virus seems to be stopping me from opening them as well... It seems whatever i can do to stop this has been cut off from me! Would anyone be able to give me some advise on how to rectify this until Norton is renewed?? Thanks in advance Lex
  2. brilliant stuff. that seems to have cleared it up a treat... Thanks for all your help! Lex
  3. Also, i don't know if this will make any difference but i forgot to include it in the original post. When i start the pc I get the following error messages: "Error loading C:\users\lex\appdata\local\temp\opnmJATL.dll" "Error loading C:\users\lex\appdata\local\temp\nNeFWqRj.dll" Cheers
  4. Hi, yeah i have realised that now. I'm quite annoyed about it, lesson learned though. Yeah i can still access the internet as long as i've opened IE before it all goes pear shaped in startup. I'd be grateful for your suggestions Lex
  5. I first encountered this problem two days ago, I had downloaded a game that I later found out (using anti virus software) that it had put a couple of trojan horses on my computer. My pc would then seem to constantly try to load something and never stop. I deleted the game (and presumably the trojans) which solved the constant loading problem, however whenever I tried to open a folder in windows it came up briefly, disappeared, then collapsed windows altogether so I could see my wallpaper and nothing else. As i turned the computer on today it now loads up however I open internet explorer and everything on windows disappears again, leaving only the internet running. Any help would be gratefully received! I have work due in tomorrow that I don't think will be handed in at this rate! Thanks a lot Lex
